When your friends travel abroad for work or study or whatever, you have to be ready for them when they come home for vacation. You have to make sure to see all of them, even if they’re all coming in the week between Christmas and the New Year’s holiday, and you have to make sure they all spend the best vacation ever (and probably regret leaving the country :P)

This year, we’ll be on the other side of the boat: we’re the people living abroad and we’re coming home for the holidays. So to our friends in Lebanon: you’d better make sure we spend the best vacation ever 😛

But I can assure you it’s a weird feeling. Usually I’m the one preparing outings for my friends, spending all of November thinking of new places to take them out to when they come in December. This time I spent all of November thinking where will my friends take me 😛 and I’m going there for 4 weeks, so they will have plenty of time to take me to all the new places in town (I’m sure there’s quite a few, since food and drinks are the main source of income in Lebanon).

Until the time comes for us to have a taste of our mums cooking and our favorite dishes, we’re still in the process of emptying the fridge and cooking all the food that is perishable. So today we had the last piece of fish and the last potatoes 🙂

Not so successful lunch (we messed up the sauce a bit) 😦

See you tomorrow!

  1. Food @ Home is always the best in most cases!
They may not be the most tasty food. The feelings @ Home makes you feel warm!
