Josephine Baker used to sing “J’ai deux amours, mon pays et Paris” (I have two loves, my country and Paris).

Every tourist that comes to Paris immediately thinks this song applies to him perfectly: the beautiful buildings, the extraordinary monuments, the history in every wall, the number of feet that stepped on every pavement on the floor, you cannot but be carried by the magic of it all.

But then you take the subway and its filthy floors and chairs and smelly people, or you sit in a restaurant and get black eyes and bad service from a waiter, or you walk in the street and step into dog poop. Ad so you curse this city and the minute you decided to come for a visit.

Do you think these accidents will prevent you from coming back? You wish! You’ll go back home singing Josephine Baker and planning you next visit to the city of lights 🙂

Which is exactly my case 🙂

Is there anything more romantic than a ride in the Bateau-Mouche?

See you tomorrow!
