Today is Mothers’ day in Lebanon; not in France though, where it’s celebrated sometime in May.

Today is also the first day of Spring, the best season of the year; not only because it contains my birthday and my wedding anniversary :P, but also because it’s the most colorful season (I already showed you the colors of fall, I will show you the colors of spring hopefully some time soon).

When we were at school, they used to teach us that fall is the season when birds fly away to warmer countries, and spring is the season when they get back because the countries they went to before are cold now. But ever since I came to France, I realized that this is not always true: this country has a weird type of birds that can survive the cold and the snow!

The picture I took today is not of this type, but I thought it’s a good celebration of the end of winter and the beginning of warmer days.

I have an advice to all the people that are thinking of visiting France at some point in their life: Do it in Spring! The weather is amazing, if it rains it does so barely, and the rest of the time it’s sun, sun, and again sun! Ideal for visiting the country and its beauty 🙂

See you tomorrow!
